We were upgraded to a private room with outside kitchen and dining/hang out area which was greatly appreciated since we had two small children. We loved it and even added another night to our stay, 4 nights total. It was so much fun to listen and look for the howler monkeys in the next trees - but we also saw many birds just from our place in the hammocks. Hosts were really nice and made sure all our needs were met. Highly recommended!

First and foremost, the staff is so friendly and lovely. Wonderful hotel with spacious and beautiful rooms (beds are gargantuan), including convenient facilities to make some of your own meals and coffee. The main pool is perfect, large enough to even do some more real swimming (which we all know is not standard for hotels) and the second pool is a bit secluded l, perfect for relaxing. The breakfast is great. Also the location is 5min drive from the town, which is very convenient.

The manager Mercedes was very helpful and genuinely seemed to care about her guests (she stood out in the rain waiting for us to arrive on the first night). Her activity recommendations were great and she helped us navigate the tides and told us how to go see a baby turtles release. She helped organize a surf lesson, which we enjoyed. The welcome booklet was helpful. The casita was comfy and cute and the pool was inviting. The water was hot, plentiful, and safe to drink. The restaurant next door was delicious! It was a 5 min drive to town and close to the main road, so it was easy to get to. We didn't notice too much road noise. They allowed us to store our bags for a few hours after we checked out. If we come back to Montezuma, we'll stay here again.

We liked everything. The location is excellent. There are many interesting places nearby. A huge, beautiful, protected area. Spacious, clean, beautiful villa. Fully equipped kitchen and laundry room. I have visited Costa Rica several times, but here I really experienced Costa Rica. The real charm of the place is that it is in a forest full of monkeys and other animals and really close to the river!! The location is excellent because unlike the noisy Santa Teresa and Monteza Zuma, here are the only gas station and supermarket in the whole area and other necessary things, but you are completely in the forest and it is not noticeable. The house is about a 10-15 minute drive to any destination you choose in the area. The house itself is very spacious and clean, I didn't need more than that. Our host Liz was very friendly and helped us with everything. We will be back!

We really enjoyed the air conditioning in every room and a living room with a big sofa where the whole family can relax. Barbecue and laundry room are great assets. There's also a fully-equipped kitchen and as many bathrooms as bedrooms which is very convenient for those traveling in 4-6 people. A very good contact with the host :) Also, the area itself is amazing, almost like a national park. You can see parrots, turtles, iguanas, monkeys, lizards, various birds and other animals everywhere!

It was the nicest place we've stayed in since arriving to Costa Rica over a month ago. Hot water in all sinks and shower, peaceful environment, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable furniture, friendly and helpful hosts, good layout, great geographic location.
