This was the most beautiful, relaxing, unique stay I have had in a long time. Nico's house is amazing, we felt immediately at home. Every detail is carefully considered, and despite being in the desert, it was spotlessly clean. The house is built beautifully, everywhere you look there are lovely details, and so many comfortable spots and corners to relax. The beds were so comfortable, we had the best sleep ever. The amenities are incredible considering you are completely off the grid, there is electricity from solar panels, running water from a well, a fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker and oven, hot water and even really fast starlink WiFi! Nico is a truly excellent host, proactive, responsive and helpful, we had everything we needed. The location is fantastic, just far enough away from nearby San Pedro de Atacama to be in complete silence and tranquility (and a dark clear sky to watch the stars!), but still only 10 minutes drive!

The tenants are the nicest people we met in Chile, adorable and very helpful regarding travel options and attractions. If there are some available Cabaña, run for it you won’t regret 😀

This is a very interesting place. Let's agree that we do not expect central heating in such accommodation, and it will be cold in July nights. It will also have only basic stuff according to developed countries standards. This place has two rooms - large living room, and a bedroom via the glass door. The living room has like 100 years old woodburner. This woodburner is awesome! The pallet wood is provided, but no gloves or other stove equipment (a leather glove would be welcome). Nevertheless once you start it, it heats the living room well and you can cook on it. Unlike some comments here it will not give you smoke if you know what to do:. The wood is dry, burns consistently, smokeless. Nothing is blocked. Note again that in these types of cities the electricity grid is very weak: you put an electric kettle on - the light is dimming. So using electric heater is not an option. Cooking on electric stove is not a great option either. So the woodburner serves great. Anyway, you cannot keep it burning the whole night, so 4-6 blankets are provided, we did not have any problem with frost. Both beds in the main bedroom were comfortable. The fridge works well, internet works well, the place is quiet, the neighbours are quiet, the car was parked outside (you can park it inside, in principle), we had no problems with this. Yes, sheep are kept nearby and from time to tome there is a manure smell, but only outside. And it is great fun to watch them to go home at about 5pm. It is 15 mins walk to the centre, but the street is well lit, and quiet. All tourist buses collect you from this property no problems. Given the place in the world, it was great stay! Ah, yes, it was a painless arrival - the host met us with the key, it was a painless payment using the card as well.

The rooms are so comfy, the facilities so clean (amazing kitchen too with a lovely view!), and I love the clean beautiful blissful desert architecture. The private parking is in the same block but at a different entrance and you have to arrange with the owner to let you in/out which is a slight inconvenience.

Lackuntur is a beautiful hostel! Fernanda is very nice and super helpful. She organises trips around San Pedro and is always there to help with any needs. The outdoor area is very comfortable with lots of seating and a nice pool area. The whole place including the rooms, the kitchen and bathrooms is cleaned daily. There is also a nice kitchen area to cook with a view of the volcano. I stayed longer than I originally intended because I liked this place so much.

Casa voyage was home away from home! Booked 2 nights and ended up staying 10 days. The place is beautiful with lots of green spaces to chill or hung out with other guest. The kitchen is one of the best as it’s perfectly furnished and with plenty of spaces, staff is super friendly and nice, location is super close to center! Grazie Mille 😊
