We thoroughly enjoyed our five-day stay in the Penthouse. The location is perfect: we took the bus from Salzburg and the walk to the apartment was short and easy, even with luggage. The apartment is large, well furnished with many antiques, and the kitchen is well-equipped. (There is a Spar within an easy walking distance of about 10 minutes with everything from toiletries to a cheese and meat counter and small bakery.) The photos in the booking.com listing are accurate – each window has a different view of beautiful Sankt Gilgen, with the best view being from the balcony and dining area. Michael is a super host and prompt communicator. Best cakes ever in Nannerls’ Café!

Norman und Irine were of great help to us, picking us up from the airport and dropping us in Salzburg, brought us an umbrella and iron when we needed it, very nice and helpful. The apartment was clean and comfortable in a great location, close to the lake and center of St. Gilgen. We definitely will come again. Thank you!

1. Location The accommodation is located on one of the most beautiful parts of the lake. It’s also close to the Schafbergbahn train station and the town center, making it a perfect base for exploring all the main attractions. I traveled by rental car, and the dedicated parking area made it very convenient. 2. Condition of the accommodation The place is beautifully and neatly decorated in a warm wooden tone. The furniture and kitchen utensils are all well-equipped. Since the nearby supermarket closes around 6–7 PM, it was fun to buy some ingredients in advance and cook at the apartment. 3. Other notes There aren’t many shops or restaurants right around the accommodation, so it’s best suited for guests traveling by car. But it’s wonderfully quiet, and the mountain scenery and cows behind the property are so lovely. I also enjoyed going for a morning run along the lake right outside the accommodation, and cooking meals there was a great experience. Highly recommended! 4. Good to know As it’s an eco-friendly property, daily cleaning or extra towels may not be provided for short stays, so it’s good to use towels sparingly. I didn’t know this and had to make an extra request — thank you again for accommodating me! (It’s also a good idea to bring your own slippers.) There’s salt and pepper available, but no olive oil, so you might want to pick up a small bottle from the supermarket for cooking. The cups, dishes, cutlery, and kitchen tools are all perfect. I had such a wonderful stay and truly lovely memories :)

We had such a wonderful stay. The apartment is even bigger and prettier than in the pictures! The hosts are just really beautiful people and very generous. The apartment was very clean and has everything (very well equiped). The animals all around make the experience of the stay even more special!

Really nice place, its in mountains and you have a lot of places for hiking. We were only one night there because we were focused on Lakes in Salzkammer. Marie was really friendly, she was working on her job activities on the estate. You have really good feeling there, see how locals live and see the nature. Five STARS, and we will try to visit this place again but hope so with snow.

The Gartenhouse is a lovely place for resting in beautiful nature nearby Wolfgang See. Location was extraordinary, on walking distance to the center of St. Wolfgang. Parking place was within the house garden. Wifi was excellent which is very important if you have some online meetings during the stay. Lighting within the apartment is really great and very useful. Kitchen has all the facilities.
