A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

My partner and I love coming to Blackpool, despite run down beach front buildings there is a lovely beach to visit and sooooo much to do from shopping, clubbing etc. to walking and even swimming when the weather is hot. It is just a shame that the council is not investing money into improving the town as it is our favourite seaside place to visit.
It is very easy to get around as there are buses, taxis and trams, so plenty of choices or just a nice long walk if you stay in the centre.
We love to do some shopping, eating out and long walks on the beach but there are a lot of attractions for everyone including the wonderful Blackpool tower.

What I liked most about the trip was the fact that I knew other colleagues,
so we were able to go out for evening meals and to socialised.
The Conference was extremely important and informative.
If it was my first visit, I probably would have change hotel or return home.
We had a pub lunch just outside across from the church. at (25). an Asian Restaurant of all you can eat, a meal at the Mecca bingo. "We all spent a fortune but did not win anything" However we were in good company and we had fun.
We walked to the bingo and all the restaurants, then to the after party event on the Tuesday night. We walked together at 11 p.m. and felt safe. "I Love Blackpool, and have visited on several occasion for a break outside of conference". I would avoid {The Vista Sol}. Unless there are some major changes.
Thought for the day, "WE CAN`T ALL BE THE SAME" And I am very HAPPY IN MY OWN SKIN...
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to be able to express my experience. Please , Please do make some changes, it is the year 2024.

Blackpool, the riviera of the North West.
Blackpool, the riviera of the North West. Used to be, not any more. So many hotels shut down, some being renovated loads just shut. Same as restaurants, so many just boarded up. The front now just looks so dated.

Blackpool has many "faces" as a simple seaside town, a big attraction town "Pleasure beach, Tower, Sandcastle" .. And as a nightspot for bars and clubs. It's the most welcoming town in the UK of LGBT community especialy for Trans who often struggle to be welcomed elsewhere.
Good location. New staff had started similar time to our stay. They cooked breakfast and it was good. WiFi worked once we got a new details from host as details showing in room did not work. Table/ seats outside hotel, this was good to just sit with a drink and relax away from the packed Blackpool seafront. Price was cheap for 3 day’s so didn’t expect perfection. Staff were all pleasant and helpful throughout our stay.
This hotel is wonderful, Wendy keeps a spotlessly clean hotel with parking, cosy rooms and a beautifully cooked breakfast each morning.
Our family of 5 was welcomed by Wendy and felt cared for throughout our stay.
The hotel is in a wonderful quiet location with Pleasure Beach and South Pier seconds away and a tram stop across street to help you venture Blackpool.
Would highly recommend and will hopefully stay again.
In a part of the city with many, many small hotels -- most of them closed during the winter season -- The Carlton stands out for being clean, tidy and in good repair. While the building is typical for Blackpool, all the surfaces were recently updated -- new fresh carpeting throughout and newly tiled bathroom. The hosts Doug and Sharron were friendly and helpful. I felt very much at home here.
The host were amazing by far the best hotel we stayed in Blackpool. Lovely room lovely hotel great sleep. Breakfast was out of this world. Really nice bar nice place and all round amazing people felt like we stayed with family.
Will.definitely be back. Fiona and Eamonn were like staying with my Aunty and Uncle highlight of my trip to Blackpool.
Can't reccomend enough.
Both Vaughan & Fiona gave us a big warm welcome as we arrived & were very informative & helpful regarding parking. The Lumada was clean & comfortable with everything you need for your stay.
Excellent location a stones throw away from the tower & central pier.
We've stayed in a few hotels in Blackpool & we would definitely book the Lumada again over them all!
Location 40 metre from Blackpool seafront. 600 metres at pleasure beach. Staff pleasant enough. Also cheapest we could find. Access to pool table. Despite what I have said about room, the room was okay just some snagging to be done as hotel looked as everything had been refurbished on ground and first floor that I saw
From the time we arrived at the hotel the staff were lovely ,good atmosphere, entertainment and food were fantastic !! Rooms were clean ,we have stayed at various hotels in Blackpool and I must say this is the best yet ,will definitely be returning and recommend to family and friends
The hotel was spotless, and the hosts were so lovely. Breakfast was the best we've had in blackpool.
Sitting out on the front with a drink was a lovely sun trap.
Car park a street away that was £9.50 for 24 hours
Defo be back here.
Thanks for a great stay!!!
Breakfast was top dollar all you can eat for £5.99 and great quality and service more like a 5 star hotel couldn’t ask for more will be going back pitty no dogs allowed my dog would love this place one of the best hotels I have stayed in Blackpool

clean room, family friendly accommodating staff, even made breakfast early for us as we had to rush off. Located close to the seaside and pleasure beach. Public parking nearby. For a cheap hotel in Blackpool this hotel deserves 10/10
Absolutely beautiful best place I've stayed in blackpool, tiffany was also so lovley and hotel smelt amazing superb clean we stayed in the james deluxe suite definitely will be going back never felt so comfortable and welcome
Can't knock it for the price really. Its a Grand Hotel with compelling history nice staff warm welcome and I feel very privealaged to have visited Blackpool and stayed in the finest Hotel on the seafront overlooking the sea.
This has got to be the best hotel in Blackpool and I have stayed in a few. So friendly clean beds and the bar is the best. We came down fr Scotland for a girls weekend and we can't wait to go back.
This is the best hotel we've stayed at in Blackpool and we've stayed in hundreds above and beyond in all aspects, excellent upgraded room, fantastic, Vicki and family, staff you do an amazing job
Very friendly place and for the price was exactly what I was looking for. Close to the seafront and convenient for the pleasure beach. Would stay there again if visiting Blackpool.
