Hôtel Sous les Figuiers - Piscine, parking, centre ville, hotel in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence

Featuring a garden that is planted with 100-year-old fig trees and a small outdoor swimming pool, this air-conditioned hotel is located in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.

Great location, very close to the centre of St Remy but very very quiet. Didn’t really feel like a hotel, more like a bed and breakfast. No communal areas such as a bar appeared to be open when we were there (October). Room was comfortable although furnishings were quite sparse …shabby chic.

Saint Remy de Provence is a lovely and interesting village with a Van Gough connection they are clearly proud of. There are many other interesting places within a 45-minute drive and it is a beautiful area to visit.

We loved the availability of good restaurants and a large supermarket not far from the town centre. We enjoyed the history of the area (Roman and Art) and the natural features of the surrounding areas of Provence.

We only stayed for 4 nights, it was not enough, wish it could have been a couple of weeks. The area is beautiful and tranquil, felt so relaxed there, yet there is also so much to do. Although only a short stay we took a boat trip in the Carmague (from St Marie sur Mer) stopped at Arles to see the Coliseum, visited Pont Gard, walked on the bridge at Avignon, followed the Van Gogh trail and explored Glanum. On our way back to Nice we stopped at Aix. Good food and wine was always close by and the people we met most friendly. Would love to return one day.

St.Remy is the kind of town that you fall in love with.

St.Remy is the kind of town that you fall in love with. There are so many restaurants to choose from and all of them are really good. The people of St.Remy are friendly and helpful and for the shoppers there is something different for everyone in the beautiful little streets of St.Remy. The walk-about tour of Vincent van Gogh is lovely to experience.

St Remy is a gorgeous village in Provence, with lots of little lanes to get lost in and plenty of lovely shops and restaurants to visit and keep you entertained. A must on a visit is the free walking tour of the sights that inspired van Gogh which finishes at Saint-Paul Asylum - where he self-admitted himself. It is also a great place from which to explore the surrounding countryside and villages

Market day was fabulous, and restaurants though a couple of restaurants wouldnt allow us to share meals, being older people our appetities are smaller and while if they were full could understand but when restaurant not even half full felt that was being a bit precious. Otherwise people friendly and helpful, our hotel "Melody" were very helpful and welcoming. Loved the small viiages up in the hills we visited People driving though should be more considerate and stop tail gating please.

Hotel staff and proprietors were kind, thoughtful, and caring. They adjusted our room to accommodate my disability. Very clean rooms and surrounding public spaces well cared for and looked recently updated with fresh paint and flooring. King size bed was a good size for my 6’6” husband. Excellent location - an easy 8-10 minute walk to the town centre and 20 minutes to the Glanum ruins and the hospital that Vincent Van Gogh lived in the last year of his life. Secure parking was worry free.

Hotel Mas Valentine was a beautiful place for our group of 9 to stay on the way to a family wedding in Provence. The staff was very helpful with various transportation needs we had and recommendations for restaurants nearby. The rooms were clean, quiet, and comfortable and very beautiful. Breakfast was nice too! Overall, we all agreed that we wished we could stay longer. We highly recommend Hotel Mas Valentine.

The property is set in a semi-rural environment. The unit was comfortable and claen and had all the essentials for a relaxing stay, including a tasty Continental breakfast. The host was very friendly and interesting to talk too, and kindly drove us to our next hotel as we were unable to book a taxi due to them being too busy. We fully recommend this place for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Absolutely gorgeous hotel with fancy looking rooms, quiet and cozy. It's a pity we needed to stay just one night, but also the town doesn't have too much to offer, so staying longer didn't make much sense. The staff is extremely friendly and makes the stay even more pleasant. Breakfast wasn't big, but very tasty - coffee, juice, fruit bowl and croissant or bun with jam and cheese.

The location was good -- very close to the main part of town. Easy parking, nice room, and very good breakfast (at a reasonable extra cost). The hotel was able to provide gluten free bread for my celiac husband and offered simple omelettes and bacon made to order in addition to the continental breakfast of breads, cheese/ham, yogurt, etc.

The staff is very kind and hard working. This is not a luxury hotel, as it has no restaurant, or ice machine. The pool is great, and the grounds very nice. You will have to go into town to eat. The towels are old and thin and could be upgraded. The staff is terrific! Very pretty setting!
