We travelled from the north (Hanoi) and finished our trip in Ho Chi Minh. It was the most western of the cities we visited. We only had 2 days there, which was not enough. A great city to walk around. Lots to see and do. Great places to eat, lots of food options. I recommend doing a walking tour to get a feel for the city. I found the War Remnants Museum and Independence Palace really interesting. The Saigon Skydeck offered an interesting perspective but was a bit pricy. Loved all the cafes in Building 42.

We went from the madness (but excitement!) of District 1 for our first 4-day foray in HCM / Vietnam to the peace & tranquillity of Mia Saigon in District 2 for our last 4 days in Vietnam (it was like being in a completely different city) after travelling to / through Da Nang/ Hanoi, etc. Overall, the experience was all that we'd hoped for & more! This was just a short stay in Ho Chi Minh City before heading to Phu Quoc. A great city for a city break with plenty to see and fantastic food and nightlife. Thai Binh market and the war museum are must see's as is just following your nose and seeing where you end up. Use Grab to and from the airport to avoid the taxi mafia.

We went to the pool both evenings of our stay to take a swim with a view of the city. I loved that the toilet in the room was separate from the bathroom. This hotel is a great place for business trip or a situation when you need a good night sleep and dont plan to stay much in the hotel.
