We were lucky enough to see Mt Fuji on our first day, and the rooftop footbath was much needed after all our exploring!

Everything! From the hospitality to the meals to the onsen. They made me feel like at home :)

Every room comes with a balcony with garden views. The room is big, the place was spotless, breakfast is so good!

Just like others have mentioned, the food was absolutely delicious, and I was really surprised by the generous portions of authentic local dishes—such a wonderful experience! The entire ryokan was spotlessly clean and very quiet, making it a truly relaxing place to stay. When I visited, there weren’t many guests, which made it feel even more peaceful. One of the most memorable experiences was the kindness of the staff. It was snowing heavily that day, and I missed my bus, which meant I had to wait another two hours. Out of nowhere, the ryokan staff messaged me to check on us, and when they heard about our situation, they offered to pick us up! When we finally arrived, being welcomed with a warm, delicious meal was the best feeling ever. The ryokan is actually very close to Hirano Beach, but unfortunately, due to the heavy snow, we didn’t get to visit. That just gives me another reason to come back! If I ever visit Yamanakako again, I will definitely stay here. The hospitality was top-notch, and the staff made us feel so at home. One of the elderly ladies even noticed that I was unsure how to eat a dish and helped feed me—it was such a heartwarming and adorable moment. ❤️

The hospitality and friendliness of both the owner and the whole staff is unsurpassable! The views of Mt. Fuji are always present, at the reception, rooms and dining areas. They even have tripods to lend so you can take night shots at the terrace!

Everything was perfect; the room, minimal but comfortable, the meals, tasty and diverse, the wine bath, hot and relaxing and last but not the least the personnel, where kind, helpful and always smiling. Free WiFi is available throughout the entire property. The hotel is a minutes' walk away from the shores of Kawaguchiko and Kawaguchiko Herbkan. This place is absolutely lovely, Masa-san (owner) absolutely goes out of his way to help in any way he possibly can. Fantastic view of Mount Fuji from our well equipped room and just a wonderful experience, onsen is lovely and relaxing. Entire area is so beautiful. Trip finished with us checking out early in the morning as we anticipated having to walk up to the station (about 20 minutes from the hotel) around 8am. Despite Masa-san being in the middle of providing breakfast for other guests he insisted on driving us up so we'd time for a coffee. Oh, and getting up early to watch the sun rising on Mount Fuji will remain with me for the rest of my life.
