My stay at this hotel in Koyasan, managed by monks, was an unforgettable experience. The monks' hospitality and guidance throughout our stay were exceptional. The private dining in a traditional Japanese setting was exquisite, and the onsen was a relaxing highlight. Participating in the morning prayer provided a unique spiritual connection. The monks' parting gift added a personal touch to our departure. If you seek a remarkable and culturally rich stay in Koyasan, I highly recommend this hotel.

Loved the tour we were given after morning ritual. It was really nice and educational. Staff was beyond helpful and early bag storage was so convenient.

The room was perfect for us as a couple. We opted for a room with bath and it has an automatic function that fills up the bathtub, in time for a relaxing soak. We can also take a bath anytime we want, as opposed to the rooms with shared baths. The room is also spacious and the monks/staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They provided detailed instructions on the stay, like for the morning prayer, they will knock and guide you to the prayer area/temple. The morning service was naturally in Japanese and we appreciate that there is an English translation and guide how to conduct oneself during the ceremony. Most importantly, the vegetarian dinner and breakfast were phenomenal. The best vegetarian meals we've had for a while. So definitely recommended! We would stay there again.

Our visit to Koyasan and stay at Jokiin Temple was one of the most unforgettable highlights of our trip to Japan. This place exceeded my expectations. I did not expect the room to be so nice, large, and have a wonderful table and seat space with a large window and small garden view. The place is just beautiful, and I was very appreciative that I could join in the morning ceremony. Truly a wonderful experience.
