We were greeted by the owner of the hotel, a very kind woman and her husband. During our stay we were very well treated: without asking our luggage was brought upstairs, we got nice gifts (sake) and lots of recommendations. The room was clean and spacious with a nice view, the futon mattresses were very comfy. The location was also perfect for us, not too far from the city center but also in a quiet neighbourhood. Above all we also really enjoyed the public bath.

Exceptional service from manager and staff. We arrived after dinner time, and the manager, cheff and staff stayed on to serve us delicious food. Thank you very much. Will san New Zealand.

This is the loveliest ryokan with incredibly hospitable and genuine owners. The food was beautiful. We felt very welcome and very lucky to stay there.

Rooms were enormous, with open views of the beach and with a cedar bathtub fed by hot springs in the room.

The ryokan has family rooms as well as facilities for disabled guests. Excellent Dinner and Breakfast. All inclusive drinks. Private Onsen/Hot spring was amazing. Staff were very accommodating and the Cherry blossom in full bloom along the nearby river was a huge bonus. Excellent artworks throughout the property

The ryokan provides a hot spring bath and a housekeeping service. Awesome ryokan hotel with beautiful views, awesome staff and really awesome service!

Takasagoya Ryokan offers a public bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Zao Onsen, 200 metres from Zao Onsen Ski Resort. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The ryokan features family rooms. everything, their excellent hospitality, delicious food, affordable rate and the free onsen nearby is unbeatable. Definitely I’ll go back again

The staff were extremely friendly and very customer service oriented. The room and facilities were of extremely high quality - I felt as if I was in a 5 star hotel. The dinner was perfect. Hot springs are very pleasant.

For your comfort, you will find slippers and free complimentary bath amenities. Tokinenoyado Yunushi Ichijoh features free WiFi throughout the property. The staff were incredibly accommodating, their care and attention made our visit relaxed and joyful, the Kaiseki was excellent and well balanced, showcasing local delicacies and providing an excellent view into tradition. Being able to use the Onsen with a tattoo and not having to cover it up was a pleasant surprise, the Onsen was excellent and very clean (I only used the outside pool). We were picked up by their free shuttle bus at the Shinkansen station and dropped off as well. We have to thank all of the staff, but a special mention should be given to Meguro, who took great care of us.

The ryokan offers soothing natural hot spring bath in natural stone tubs and an open-air hot springs bath. A shared lounge features a tatami (woven-straw) floor and view of a Japanese garden. The ryokan also offers free use of bicycles. Beautiful property. The room was spacious! Even for Western standards. The private onsen was very nice. We did not try the public onsen. The staff were courteous and helpful. Although the staff had limited English proficiency, they all used a translation app to help with communication which was incredibly helpful.
