From the moment we arrived, the staff at both reception and in the dining hall were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The Kaiseki dinner was a true highlight; each dish was sumptuous and delicious, with the staff making a wonderful effort to explain every component. The breakfast was superb as well, truly a memorable experience!

The property is near a lovely secluded beach where you can watch the sunset. The host is charming and makes you feel so welcome providing lots of information to help you navigate the island. We will definitely be back again.

At the ryokan, units are equipped with bed linen and towels. Amazing accomodation! The location is superb, next to a lush green jungle and only 5 minutes from the nicest beach. Yes, it's a bit far from downtown, but we made it work even without hiring a car. The rooms are beautiful and have nice terraces. The family running it is amazing. We also had an excellent breakfast every day. Can't imagine a better place to stay!

Each room is equipped with a private bathroom equipped with a bath. Joya features free WiFi. This hotel is in a very convenient location. I was able to enjoy Kabira Bay again and again because it was so close. Also, there is a bus stop right across the street. On top of that, the owner is very kind and friendly. I had a great stay.

The friendly English-speaking host provided everything I needed for my first two days on Ishigaki. I loved the carefully prepared meals (even the miso soup was different all four times!)
