The property is around 9.1 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium, 12 km from Nippon Christ Kyodan Shijonawate Church and 12 km from Shijonawate City Museum of History and Folklore. The ryokan has family rooms.

A great place to spend your day away from big cities and sights flooded with tourists.
This is a ryokan so you get a nice futon bed, tatami floor, yukatas. The view from our room was great! We’ve also ordered a delicious Japanese style breakfast. The public bath is actually two rooms that have a lock, so you could go inside with your family together. This was very nice for me because I’ve been traveling with my partner and a 1,5y son.
The area is quiet and nice. There is a temple you need to go uphill. The area is mountainous with lots of stairs. You take the cable car to get there. Keep in mind that there are no supermarkets there, you need to go down by cable car to Ikoma. But there are some restaurants and cafes so you won’t get hungry. I think it’s even more beautiful in fall, you can enjoy momiji.
We’ve stayed in late March and the weather was not the best, like 10-15 C. So we’ve used a heater in the room and in the bath. Don’t hesitate to ask the owner to show you how to use it
Nara Park, Nara
The ryokan also offers free use of bicycles. Kofuku-ji is 1.1 km from Musashino, while Kasuga Taisha is 300 metres from the property. The nearest airport is Osaka Itami Airport, 39 km from the property. All staff are very tentative, friendly, and so welcoming. The property is situated close to the park within a walking distance and up on the hill, so you get a good view of a sunset. The food was beautifully plated, all the dishes taste very good and you can tell that it’s from attention to details.

Soundproof rooms feature a serene interior with a tatami (woven-straw) floor, low furniture and shoji paper screens. Amenities include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a fridge and toiletries. Guests sleep in Japanese futon bedding, and the rooms come with an all-wooden bathroom. From the very first moment we arrived, we were blown away by the beautiful decor/landscaping and hospitable staff. The staff member(s) were excellent in explaining how to stay in a ryokan (as visitors with no experience, this was very helpful) by showing us around our room. We tried their restaurant's traditional Japanese breakfast and it was superb! Additionally, we booked a private onsen and it was so clean and relaxing, offering stunning views of the city. I cannot recommend this stay enough, we can't wait to go back!

Heguri
Basic Japanese-style rooms overlook the temple compound, and feature a tatami (woven mat) floor, on which traditional futon bedding is spread to sleep in. They are fitted with air conditioning and a safe. We so much enjoyed our time at this temple - the scenic look of this mountaineous area, an extensive temple area, the symbol of the tiger in a few corners, just a very serene atmosphere. Getting there by public transport was not a problem (bus from Oji station, well signposted). We were greeted at the reception and then could move into our Japanese style tatami rooms. Toilets and bath are shared which were meticously clean. The dinner and breakfast were amazing. Attending the goma fire ritual very early in the morning felt so special.

A spacious public bath and foot bath is available for guests to relax in. Free luggage before and after check-in is available on site. Free WiFi is available at the entire building. We appreciated the warm welcome we received. The staff were very attentive, and every detail was taken care of. The room we booked matched the one pictured in the photos. We were also able to enjoy the private bathroom to relax after long days of shopping and sightseeing. Furthermore, the hotel's proximity to Nara Park allowed us to be close to many of its attractions.

Featuring an open-air bath and views of quiet street, Ryokan Asukasou at the entrancne of Nara park is a recently renovated ryokan located in Nara, 1.8 km from Nara Station. It is set 20 km from Iwafune Shrine and provides a lift. There is a terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. If you want the authentic feel of a ryokan, this is the place. Nara Park is right next to the property, where you can feed the famous deer. The tatami beds are incredibly comfortable, and we enjoyed drinks on the terrace with an amazing view. It was a pity that the Pagoda is currently under renovation, expected to be completed around 2033 — so if you book here, don’t be disappointed if you can’t see it. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable.

Traditional ryokan rooms with a new bathroom and onsen, we liked it and felt very welcome
Fabulous hotel with great facilities. Bedroom compact with western style bed and tatami floors. Kettle in room. Free use of onsen. Free snacks and noodles after 9pm. 5mins from main JR station. Friendly staff. Absolutely no complaints. Highly recommended.
This hotel is incredible! Onsen, Sauna included and open during the night. This is the dream! In addition, there is tatami in the floor giving this very nice Japanese touch! If you plan to stay 1-2 day in Nara, I would recommend to add an additional day to enjoy the hotel installation. 🤩
A very nice and chilling experience. We liked our traditional style room very much. Although there was no shower in the room, it had a private toilet and wash basin. It was actually more spacious than regular Japanese hotel rooms and it was very clean. The private onsen was amazing, the best of the experience after a long walk, do not miss your privage time slot. The hotel staff was very helpful and we had a great chilling time in Nara, thanks to this ryokan.
Beautiful ryokan with English-speaking staff and a private-use onsen. Only a 10 minute walk from Kintetsu-Nara Station and close to Nara Park and located in a gorgeous part of town. Beds (futons) were very comfortable, free wifi, large room - I would stay here again if in Nara.
This place was exactly what I was looking for. A quiet ryokan with a private tattoo-friendly onsen. My room was big and the futon was very comfy. I appreciated the complimentary water and a kettle to make tea. Everything was so good, thank you! I will definitely come back.
The Ryokan is literally 1min walk from the station, in a peatonal street full of shops. The personal was very kind and they were always trying to help. They took care of our luggage before the check in and after the check out. The room was amazing with tatami floor and they left a yukata for each gest. The Onsen was amazing and very relaxing. The breakfast was incredible, everything in the menu was amazing and very tasty. 100% recommended
Lovely spacious tatami room, very comfortable futon. Room did have ensuite bathroom, but we enjoyed the nice big hot shared baths available, much like going to a sento. Yukata were provided too. Teas and senbei in the room were very welcoming.
