It was the best four days in my three weeks visiting in Japan. This ryokan is very cosy. Though everything looked authentic and traditional all the facilities weren't old, but instead very clean an modern. The breakfast was very tasty and there was variety each day. If you don't take the cable car (station is right next to the ryokan) you'll get a good workout each day, when you explore the surroundings - mainly the beautiful temples. There are many stairs! After a day of waking, relaxing in the onsen was the highlight of my day. But the best thing was the very friendly owner and staff. Even though I couldn't speak Japanese they helped me with everything and were really caring. I will definitely be back! :)

The ryokan also offers free use of bicycles. Kofuku-ji is 1.1 km from Musashino, while Kasuga Taisha is 300 metres from the property. The nearest airport is Osaka Itami Airport, 39 km from the property. All staff are very tentative, friendly, and so welcoming. The property is situated close to the park within a walking distance and up on the hill, so you get a good view of a sunset. The food was beautifully plated, all the dishes taste very good and you can tell that it’s from attention to details.

Soundproof rooms feature a serene interior with a tatami (woven-straw) floor, low furniture and shoji paper screens. Amenities include a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a fridge and toiletries. Guests sleep in Japanese futon bedding, and the rooms come with an all-wooden bathroom. Super welcoming place. We were mesmerized by the decor and the facilities. We wish we could have stayed more nights!

Basic Japanese-style rooms overlook the temple compound, and feature a tatami (woven mat) floor, on which traditional futon bedding is spread to sleep in. They are fitted with air conditioning and a safe. Absolutely amazing place to stay. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Location was wonderful. Seeing the fire ceremony and then the sun rise in the morning were both magical.

A 12-minute walk from the Kintetsu Nara Train Station, Hotel New Wakasa offers Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. A spacious public bath and foot bath is available for guests to relax in. Free luggage before and after check-in is available on site. Free WiFi is available at the entire building. We appreciated the warm welcome we received. The staff were very attentive, and every detail was taken care of. The room we booked matched the one pictured in the photos. We were also able to enjoy the private bathroom to relax after long days of shopping and sightseeing. Furthermore, the hotel's proximity to Nara Park allowed us to be close to many of its attractions.

Japanese-style rooms have a tatami (woven-straw) floor and futon bedding, and all rooms come with an LCD TV and an en suite bathroom. The staff were super friendly and helpful, at the front desk and especially at breakfast. The public baths were amazing. I had never been in one before and they had instructions on how to use, they were single sex and also we had them to ourselves which was amazing. I would highly recommend the outdoor hot bath super relaxing.

Amazing dinner with exceptional service. Very private and quiet.
