Kanko Ryokan Yamato features city views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Ikoma, 8.8 km from Iwafune Shrine. The property is around 9.1 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium, 12 km from Nippon Christ Kyodan Shijonawate Church and 12 km from Shijonawate City Museum of History and Folklore. The ryokan has family rooms.

At the ryokan, each unit comes with a tatami and a TV. At the ryokan, all units have a shared bathroom with slippers and free toiletries. The property is beautiful, cared for by two wonderful, heart-warming ladies who are always gentle, attentive, and ready to welcome you with a genuine smile. The facilities are spotless and cozy. The onsen is private and completely tattoo friendly, you simply close the door and enjoy the bath all to yourself. Thoughtful toiletries are provided both in the bathing area and in your room, along with comfortable yukatas and even traditional socks for the evening. There is so much heart in this ryokan: in every detail, in every gesture, and in every smile, even in the little dog who greets you upon arrival. From your room, you can admire a lovely view of the city, surrounded by the peaceful mountain where the ryokan rests, and even enjoy the charming cable car ride that takes you up the hillside.

The ryokan also offers free use of bicycles. Kofuku-ji is 1.1 km from Musashino, while Kasuga Taisha is 300 metres from the property. The nearest airport is Osaka Itami Airport, 39 km from the property. All staff are very tentative, friendly, and so welcoming. The property is situated close to the park within a walking distance and up on the hill, so you get a good view of a sunset. The food was beautifully plated, all the dishes taste very good and you can tell that it’s from attention to details.

Everything is beyond our expectation. Warm welcome drink upon checking in, japanese style breakfast experience, super caring & helpful staffs. They help me contact our previous hotel to find our forgotten wallet & without their help we couldn't get the wallet back for sure.

Basic Japanese-style rooms overlook the temple compound, and feature a tatami (woven mat) floor, on which traditional futon bedding is spread to sleep in. They are fitted with air conditioning and a safe. We stayed one night and enjoyed it very much: delicious dinner and breakfast (Japanese style sets), traditional Japanese-style rooms, lovely onsen, and of course the ceremony in the morning. Would definitely recommend going here if a temple stay is on the bucket list. After dinner (and in the morning), one can wander around the temple area, which is very nice because no other people except the guests staying overnight are around.
