Conveniently located in central Kyoto, Ryokan KANADE offers a Japanese-style garden. Among the facilities of this property are a 24-hour front desk and luggage storage space, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Every room includes a terrace. Kyoto Station is a 15-minute drive from this property. The place was beautiful. My only regret is not taking the in-house breakfast and dinner.

Massage service is also provided at a surcharge. Luggage storage is offered, while laundry service is offered at an additional charge. A clean, calm, comfortable stay. Has a wonderful restaurant on-site. The hot pot was one of our best meals in Japan.

Seikoro Ryokan is located in Kyoto, a 7-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station. Featuring traditional Japanese-style accommodation, it offers a public bath and massage services. Free Wi-Fi access is available at the entire property. I stayed at this wonderful ryokan during my trip to Kyoto, and I’m still deeply impressed! This is a truly authentic Edo-period style ryokan, with a serene and cozy atmosphere that beautifully preserves Japanese tradition. Everything—from the interiors to the hot baths—radiates a deep respect for cultural heritage. I want to especially thank the staff. I accidentally left a valuable piece of jewelry in the bath and had nearly accepted that it was lost. But the staff not only found it—they contacted me and kindly mailed it to my hotel in Tokyo. I was genuinely touched by their honesty, care, and attention. This place became more than just accommodation—it became a special memory of my journey in Japan. I will definitely return and wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly Japanese experience and heartfelt hospitality. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Some units in the ryokan have private entrance and are equipped with wardrobe and tatami. Units are complete with a private bathroom, while certain units at the ryokan also provide guests with a seating area. The room was very cosy and comfortable. Perfect for unwinding after busy days of sightseeing and crowds. The bath does wonders for tired legs from walking. The room is stocked with an assortment of free drinks and traditional snacks are provided in the lobby. The location is great, only a 10 minute walk from Kyoto station and close to other public transport. We walked to most of the main attractions. The staff was very helpful and everyone spoke very good English so it was easy to communicate. Our breakfast was cooked with care each morning, making it a great start of each day. We would definitely come back!

Ryokan Sumiya Kihoan offers a hot spring bath and a hot tub, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Kameoka, 13 km from Oyamazumi Shrine. This 4-star ryokan offers a lift and free shuttle service. There is a restaurant serving Japanese cuisine, and free private parking is available. We stayed in a ryokan near Kyoto, and the experience was outstanding. The staff went above and beyond — they even offered to pick us up from Kamioka Station, which we didn’t expect at all. It was such a pleasant surprise. The service throughout our stay was incredible: extremely polite, warm, and genuinely kind. Honestly, the staff deserves 15 out of 10. Our room had a private onsen, and it was amazing. The room itself was in a traditional Japanese style and felt very cozy. The outdoor onsen was especially beautiful — such a unique and relaxing experience. Breakfast was both interesting and delicious. I highly recommend this ryokan to anyone looking for a special stay near Kyoto.
