Featuring a garden, Hakone Onsen Yuyado Yamanoshou is set in Hakone, 200 metres from Hakone Botanical Garden of Wetlands. This 3-star ryokan features free WiFi. Attractions in the area include Hakone Lalique Museum, 300 metres away, or Venetian Glass Museum, located 800 metres from the property. The breakfast and dinner spreads were exquisite. I was very impressed with their chef. The atmosphere of the ryokan gave you a sense of being tucked away in the woods and back in time. The staff were courteous and warm, ever so accommodating. A most beautiful experience and wonderful for the body and soul. I would most definitely love to return in future.

Situated in Hakone in the Kanagawa region, with Venetian Glass Museum and Hakone Botanical Garden of Wetlands nearby, Hotel Morinokaze Hakone Sengokuhara features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a sauna. Featuring an open-air bath, the 4-star ryokan has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Guests have access to a hot spring bath, hot tub and public bath. Great stay! Loved the design of our room and having 2 separate beds allowed us to rest and recharge. Sadly we had only 1 onsen on the balcony, so we took turns with my husband. There was a cd player with several Jazz collections. Restaurant food was delicious and the staff made sure to explain the menu and answer all the questions we had. Most of the time they’d use the portable translators. Hot springs/ spa area was rotated every morning, so we got to experience both bath areas. My favorite treat was the vinegar drink after the baths.
