The place offers an authentic ryokan experience with kaiseki onsen and wonderful Japanese decoration and furnishings. Excellent staff!

Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Entertainment options include cable channels and a DVD player. Certain rooms include an en suite bathroom. Toiletries and slippers are provided for in the private and shared bathroom. Very clean and accesible facilities. They provide free transportation from/to the hotel - ferry station.

At the ryokan, units are fitted with bed linen and towels. Our stay at the hotel was exceptional. We enjoyed every moment—from the staff, the ambiance, the room, and the place as a whole. A special mention goes to the dinner we had at the hotel, prepared by Chef Kenya Akita, who undoubtedly deserves three Michelin stars. Chef Akita, a Japanese culinary artist, trained for 13 years in France at a Michelin-starred restaurant before returning to Japan to adapt his extensive culinary expertise to the local cuisine. Every dish was outstanding, both in terms of flavors and aesthetic presentation. The meal was simply extraordinary. Don’t miss it!

All units in the ryokan are equipped with a kettle. There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with slippers, a hair dryer and free toiletries. The units will provide guests with air conditioning, a safety deposit box and a flat-screen TV. Very friendly and helpful staff. The free drinks and ice cream on the rooftop bar was a nice touch. Great location. Easy walk from the ferry and to the sites of Myajima island.

Situated in Onomichi and only 25 km from Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine, Suminoe Ryokan features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The 3-star ryokan has garden views and is 28 km from Saikon-ji Temple. The ryokan features family rooms. The staff helped us dry our shoes after we got rained on during our first day of biking. They were very friendly and went above and beyond to help us.

Oyado Tsukiusagi is set in Miyajima, 600 metres from Five Storey Pagoda, less than 1 km from Itsukushima Shrine, as well as a 15-minute walk from Daisho-in Temple. It is located 2.4 km from Tsutsumigaura Beach and provides luggage storage space. Museum of History and Folklore is 1.1 km from the ryokan and Shiraito Falls is 1.5 km away. Everything was exceptional. We loved the Oyado Tsukiusagi! It had the most comfortable futon beds we experienced through our 5 weeks of traveling through Japan, a beautiful and clean room, and the lady at the hotel was very nice and welcoming. We really love Miyajima so we were very happy that we could stay at the island through the night.

The spacious ryokan is equipped with 1 bedroom, a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave and a toaster, and 1 bathroom with a bidet, slippers and a washing machine. The ryokan offers bed linen, towels and laundry service. Amazing house in the heart of Miyajima, cozy and fully equipped. The host is super nice and helpful. We had the best time. Very quiet during the night.

Traditional multi-course meals are served for dinner and a Japanese set menu for breakfast. Japanese-style hotel Mizuhasou specialises in fresh seafood and exquisitely prepared local seasonal dishes. Meals are served at the dining room. Everything was fantastic - the rooms came with Yukatas, pajamas, vests, tea, water, a towel bag and one face wash set. The breakfast in the morning was unbelievable - that alone made the price well worth it, but add in the baths and lovely rooms & decor - just an unbelievable stay.

The air-conditioned rooms feature tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding. Rooms in the Annex include a private bathroom with a bath and toilet, while rooms in the historical Main Building and Cottage Annex have shared bathrooms and toilets. Everything Staffs / facilities / locations everything was great and better than my expectation. My second time to Miyajima and next time I will stay at Iwaso also
