Amazing stay at this ryokan fully furnished , there was an amazing onsen in the room and 3 other onsens to use in the ryokan. The people working here are really welcoming and helpful ! Few things to know : the onsen water keeps flowing during the night which can disturb a little bit the sleep + there is a hill to go to the village but it is managable. Highly recommend for a great time in Kusatsu

Located along Houshi River, Houshi Onsen Chojukan features a public hot spring bath, Japanese-style accommodations with free Wi-Fi and Japanese cuisine. A wooden building stemming from 100 years ago, the property breathes a historical atmosphere. The most relaxing place I've ever been to. Idyllic and dramatic location in the mountains, by a river. The baths are exceptional. Meals were very good, the staff incredibly welcoming and attentive.
