The dinner was superb, many dishes are really tasty. breakfast selection was very good too and food selection was very wide. Room was spacious, has a view of the lake. Hotel facilities was great, very nice onsen, has laundry room and other guest friendly facilities. Staff was super helpful.

Such a gorgeous place with the loveliest staff! We felt thoroughly pampered from head to toe during our stay. An incredible experience, please don’t miss out on the course dinner/breakfast! Guests at Jizokan Matsuya Ryokan stay in rooms with shoji paper screens and traditional futon bedding. All rooms are air-conditioned and include a TV and slippers. When we made our reservation, we opted for the all-inclusive package that included breakfast and dinner. Both meals were fantastic! They consisted of a variety of small dishes, making it a delightful culinary experience. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They kindly picked us up from our room for breakfast and dinner, and they even provided roomservice throughout our stay. Additionally, they always greeted us warmly whenever we returned from a day trip. The room itself was a pleasant surprise. It featured tatami mats, which we were instructed to leave our shoes at the entrance and wear our socks or slippers provided by the hotel. This unique experience added to the overall charm of our stay. Moreover, it was our first time visiting an onsen, which was a delightful and relaxing addition to our itinerary.

Location was exceptional - great base for exploring. The staff were all very helpful. We loved their restaurant recommendations and that reservations were made for us. Breakfast was also a positive experience - we tried all three options.

This place is magical. One of the highlights of our 3 week Japan trip was staying at Ks. Everyone was friendly, the room was spotless, the communal areas were clean and well kept and the onsens fabulous. We had a family room and all slept very well on tatami mats and futons. We used both the private and public onsens. The room is spacious and the outlook over the stream at night is sensational. We were fortunate to be there when they had a fireworks display on the beach which was awesome.There is also a washing machine and dryer for 500yen which really helped having a family of 5. If you are looking for a traditional stay and a truly memorable experience this is it.
