The hotel seemed too expensive compared to where we usually stay in other countries. We knew that Japan was expensive , and there was not much else available in that period. The good surprises were that food and drinks, including wine and cocktails, were available without limits. The Onsen was also free (except the private bath which we tried, and did not add much value). The hotel has a free shuttle that picks you up at the station and is located right next to the funicular. There is also a tourist bus stop next to the hotel. Although Mount Fuji is not visible from the hotel, the rooms have large windows with a fantastic view of the Kawaguchiko lake.

The staff was very accommondating and provided free pick up from the station. Upon arrival, they showed us to our room, which was clean and had a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji. During the dinner, the staff made futon beds for us, which my family all loved to sleep on. The dinner and breakfast we served were fantactic in taste and appearance. The staff even introduced the food to us before we started.

Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch.

Authentic Japenese styled Ryokan. Excellent on-site onsen. Staff helps you and encourages you to wear a Yakuta. Great Service. Excellent breakfast in a very nice dining location. Very clean and efficient service. Celebrated partner’s birthday very nicely.

Beautiful accomodation. Nice, clean and comfortable. We loved the wooden smell and enjoyed the private bath. The breakfast was delicious. Easy to get to with a car. Self check in and check out process was smooth to do especially as we arrived late. Should have stayed another night or made sure to arrive early to properly enjoy the accomodation.

1.6 km from Takayama Station, Iroriyado Hidaya is a recently renovated property situated in Takayama and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking.

There's so much to love about this ryokan. Excellent service, superb onsen, spacious, clean and comfortable room, unlimited snacks. The kids had such a great time they didn't want to leave.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Mitsubikiya features accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. The air-conditioned accommodation is 800 metres from Matsumoto Station.
