The pool and grounds were great, staff was also great, hot springs and garden across street was awesome
The room was clean and there was a spare futon, which could be good for some people.
THE VIEW FROM THE ROOM WAS GOOD.ALTHOUGH WE WERE ASKED TO PAY $ 100 EXTRA FOR THE SAME AND THEY CHARGE YOUR CARD FROM THE FILE EVEN IF YOU DONT GIVE YOUR CONSENT. SO BE READY FOR THAT.
Vintage feel but still upgraded and clean. They gave us a complimentary bottle of wine for our anniversary at check-in, which was lovely. Spa services were wonderful and can claim massages under insurance. Hot springs were great, yet second day they didn't feel as hot. Trails onstie ate good for beginner hikers. Very easy.
The hot springs is a must!
Spa facilities were great, well maintained and service was very good. Hot springs was extremely relaxing and uncrowded Both indoor and outdoor pools including hot tub were clean and the surrounding area were well maintained
No wonder the restaurant is popular - terrific breakfasts, at a reasonable price. Room (at least ours on third level, facing south) is everything you want in a no-nonsense type hotel: QUIET!, clean, functional (switches, plugs, hooks, tables, etc where you need them), decent shower.
It's a basic, no nonsense motel. No view, straight up, small room where you come to crash after hiking in the provincial parks. Close to Arrowhead, a bit further away from Algonquin but again, Huntsville is the closest convenient town near Algonquin. Was clean (as per motel standards) and beds were comfortable. I don't recall any particular challenges/issues. .
