Set in the peaceful TogattaOnsen, a very rural town. The area is easier to explore by car. The food was unbelievably good, we did half board, enjoying both breakfast and dinner Japanese style. The service was excellent, all the staff were so helpful, even with my limited Japanese. If you want a relaxing place, this is it, they have both public and private baths available (private is extra cost).

Breakfast was huge, healthy and very tasty, a solid foundation for a day full of attractions. Coffee very good, but thats obvious in Japan, perfectly composed with fresh food, light but caloric.

Amazing experience at Sensatei. The value for money is amazing especially the service from the exceptional staff. I felt we were very tired and demanding guests, asking lots of questions, being a bit dramatic after lots of traveling, but they were so patient, lovely and accommodating. The view was amazing, over looking mountains and the river. I never got tired of it! The Onsen is fantastic as well. Over the 4 days we were there, i went 4 times! Worth the stay and will make the track from Australia again!

First roykan I've tried and not disappointed! The food is very good and generous I think, I had trouble finishing everything. The place is quiet in the middle of the forest, I had a large room and the staff are very attentive to your needs. They help you with your travel plans and you can ask them to take you by car from the station to the ryokan or other places if there are no buses.I recommend it!

One of the most charming Ryokan stay in Sendai. Property is very traditional style, gorgeous huge room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. They served delicious Kaiseki meals , seasonal produce. We enjoyed our onsen experience in the privacy of our room.

Very nice and warm welcome! Able to book for their shuttle from Sendai Station through booking.com chat. Easy communication! Room was extremely spacious and nice! The indoor and outdoor onsen is also nice! Food was good as well. The souvenir shop had quite variety of items to buy too!
