I especially loved the wonderful ocean views, and the enchanting atmosphere: an exciting immersion in Japanese culture (from the furnishings, traditional clothing, food...). Special thanks to the staff for their extreme care, attention, and courtesy.

Futagojimasou, a property with an open-air bath, is set in Wakayama, 3.6 km from Yanomiya Shrine, 3.9 km from Kishu Toshogu Shrine, as well as 3.9 km from Tamatsushima Shrine.

To escape the pace of Tokyo arriving at the Futagojimsou hotel for the weekend in late September. There were only a few people on Friday it seems that Saturday night is the time local Japanese escape the city for the tranquility of the ocean. The hotel itself is from times gone by, yet clean and clean comfortable. The room views were spectacular, the waves lapping the shore at night was serene, the staff incredibly patient and polite. The dinner incredible best value, varied and delicious. Across the road the Bandoko Garden, a retreat for the afternoon was restful. Followed by the outdoor Onsen, facing the ocean. I can highly recommend a visit.

There is an onsen nearby. Have to get the entrance ticket from the hotel reception.
