Loved how accommodating the staff were. Even if we didn't ask for our room to be made, they made sure we still have a complete set of toiletries for the next day and left it by our door. The onsen had a relaxing ambiance. The room has a lot of lighting settings, which made it calm to our liking and useful when we need it. Our room still had a great view, even if it's on the lower floor.

Lovely onsen hotel! We stayed in their cabins with private onsen which was very cosy but modern and newly built. The staff were friendly and used google translate to help with the language barrier. The dinner was a tasty yakiniku course menu with different appertizers and different cuts of meat. They have a huge selection of sake(lots of rare premium brands) and drinks. They also have a sake room where you can buy bottles to bring home aswell.

Only a 10-minute walk from JR Sapporo Train Station, Nakamuraya Ryokan offers Japanese-style accommodations with a history of over 100 years.

Very nice atmosphere. At first I was concerned with the size of the hotel, it seems to have many more rooms than any Ryokan I had known before. But the place is very well designed for privacy and relaxation and the staff is excellent. The room was very comfortable, all details carefully though of.

We loved our stay at Chalet Ivy Jozankei. The staffs were very attentive and friendly. They all spoke English and were nice enough to put two single beds together to make a king bed. Our meals were also nicely prepared and healthy , with a wide variety of ingredients. The scenery was beautiful and it was fine for us to do nothing and just stay in the hotel, watching it snow and sipping tea. The snack bar was a treat with local snacks! We will definitely be back. It was a nice retreat after a few days at the slopes and a very unforgettable experience.

Everything was great, from the room, room size, onsen, food, lounge, and price. The room is spacious compared to many other japanese style room elsewhere and it's also very clean and comfortable. We had the half-board booking and both the dinner and breskfast were extraordinary. Both were kaiseki course meal with all kinds of food locally produced. We had more than enough food. Since we were traveling in a group of a few couples, we found the lounge area and the lounge snacks and drinks to be perfect to accommodate groups. There were honey tasting, beers, and after dinner snacks which were a perfect setting to just chill and hangout. Lastly, the hotel offer shuttle bus back to sapporo in the morning. The location is also good as it is a short walk to the Jozankei small town and to the bus stop.
