Room was big and very comfortable. A beautiful view from the window if you are on the top floor. Room was very clean and beautifully decorated. Staff was very friendly. The Onsen baths are small but beautiful. They were not crowded when we visited (early June). Hotel was very quiet. Convenience stores a few metres away.

The hotel went beyond our expectations. Everything was excellent from the moment we arrived to when we checked-out. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and professional, the onsen area is beautiful and has a view over the mountains surrounding the hotel. For breakfast, we opted for the traditional Japanese restaurant and everything was perfect, form the food to the ambience and the location.

I got lucky with the room because I had a vending machine with beer right next to my door. The location is good, not far from bus/train stations, but it might be a bit inconvenient if you have suitcases since the road from the stations is quite busy and doesn’t have pedestrian area. For me it wasn’t an issue since I had only a backpack. The room was spacious and clean, the staff were super friendly. Amazing outdoor onsen. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

The cleanest property we have ever stayed at in Japan. The rooms were very comfortable and the onsen was very nice to use. Location was great - close to bus stops and a train station, easy to get to Hakone landmarks. The owner was so accomodating and gave us many tips and advice for our stay in Hakone.

This is a very traditional place. In our room it was enough space for 4 adults: 2 bedrooms with tatami, one reception room, one toilet with small private onsen and small kitchen. They also have two public onsens (but only for the hotel quests), they change female and male onsen every day. We had breakfasts and dinners included. It was a lot of traditional Japanese food, we were full all days 😄 Very beautiful garden with trees and koi carps. It was an amazing experience. Staff were extremely nice and polite. Recommend!

Lovely Japanese rooms with tatami floor and comfortable futons. Handy to have a section in the room with dividing doors for the grown ups to relax in after the kids have gone to bed. Great onsen facilities, including bookable private onsen, and a mixed gender outdoor pool, great for families! The changing areas all had baby change equipments and the private onsen changing area also had kids body washes. Staff were so lovely and went out of their way to help us with everything we needed. They provided a mini chair for the baby for mealtimes, and our 5 year old were provided with kids cutlery and a child yukata to wear, as well as children’s slippers for in the ryokan. There was also a kids playroom available. The meals were exemplary as were the sake with our evening meals.
