I loved everything about it. The food was exceptional.

Wakasa Annex features an outdoor hot public bath and free WiFi. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception, drinks vending machines and free parking. Todai-ji Temple is only an 8-minute walk.

One of our favourite hotels in Japan. The room was spacious, had a spectacular view and a private hot tub on the balcony. The onsen was lovely (you could open the windows for fresh air). The location was fantastic but the star of the show was the food - amazing. The dinner was a multi-course treat with a superb menu in a private dining space. High quality fine dining experience. The staff were also exceptionally helpful.

From the moment we arrived we loved the hotel. In the heart of Nara, only a stone's throw away from the deer park. The hotwl was clean, staff were so accommodating, and the advice they gave us on Nara was second to none. The private bath was such a lovely touch in the evening. The perfect ryokan stay.ake sure to watch sunset from the rooftop!

The hotel was wonderful and the staff were amazing. The room had two twin beds but also a Japanese style sitting area, which we loved. Our room included dinner on two nights and they were the best meals we had. They were one of the highlights of our stay in Japan. The hotel is very close to the train station and the park. The perfect location.

Tsukihitei is located in the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Lovely location in the forest -- it's very quiet and scenic. At the same time it's still accessible by taxi so no issues even if you have more luggage. Great wooden bathtub and amazing bathroom products (full Aesop range). Tasty, varied and well portioned meals. You really feel spoiled by the staff, e.g. alcohol is included with meals, free minibar, complimentary matcha tea and snacks.

I really enjoyed everything, it was a great opportunity to get to know Japanese culture! Incredibly friendly staff. The hotel is located near the entrance to the deer park.

A 10-minute drive from Kintetsu Nara Train Station on the hotel’s free shuttle, Mikasa offers open-air baths and a dining room with beautiful Nara views. On-site parking is free.

The location was great, very accessible via public transit as we took a train from Kyoto. The shuttle service provided by the hotel was efficient and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The meals provided (kaiseki dinner and breakfast) were also excellent! We booked a room with a private bath and it was spacious and comfortable. I also liked that the hotel provided a quick evening tour (free shuttle) to Wakakusayama Hill, which overlooks the city of Nara. While it was quite cloudy (we couldn't appreciate the stars in the sky) the view of the cityscape from the hill was breathtaking.

A 5-minute walk from Kintetsu-Nara Train Station, Tsubakiso is an 85-years old Japanese townhouse with a lovely garden and free Wi-Fi throughout.

This is the most divine place, central location but quite and easy to reach on foot with luggage. Breakfast was amazing. Host was so generous.

1.5 km from Nara Station, Nara Ryokan is situated in Nara and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi.
