The whole place looked magical especially when it was snowing on our arrival and during a few days of our stay. We stayed for a week of our honeymoon and the staff, meals and grounds were amazing day after day. The in room onsen was amazing to relax in on the cold days that we did venture out. The meals were varied every single morning and night. We can't wait to return!

This was one of the best hotels I've stayed in Japan. The rooms are beautiful, spacious yet cozy. The private onsen in the bathroom was absolutely divine, not to mention the property also has indoor and outdoor onsens attached (both great). The futons were like sleeping on clouds and we had one of the best night's sleep of our lives. The dinner at the restaurant was a delicious and wonderful experience. The guest lounge on the ground floor was also a great place to relax and refresh. I wish I had stayed more than one night.

Facilities are excellent- includes 2 large lounge areas with availability of snacks & coffee/tea, board games, magazines. There’s also a hot stones & massage room. Food is exquisite in taste & presentation. Staff service is excellent. Room is large & comfortable with beanbags for lounging around. The lobby & lounge are tastefully decorated with art pieces. The ambience is very zen & quiet. Perfect for a retreat. We also get complimentary tickets to the Jozankei Nature Luminarie. Wish we could stay longer.

The onsen with the view was amazing. Food was good ad well. Staff was not really good with English but tried hard to communicate.

Wonderful meals. The dinner was the Fine Dining style, and the breakfast was self-service style. The location was very close to the bust station. Room was big. The public hot spring bath was also perfect to me. In the lobby, there were snack and drinks after checking-in.
