Stunning ryokan with beautiful onsen. The kaiseki meal was spectacular although as we were a family group, they served us in a dining hall of sorts, which had bright lighting and little atmosphere. Definitely would have been nicer to dine in our beautiful rooms. A beautiful ryokan all round. We reserved the private family onsen as our kids were laggy about bathing with strangers, and it worked perfectly.

It was one of the best hotel experiences that I have ever had! [hospitality and service] From the moment we parked into hotel, we have been warmly greeted and welcomed. It was smooth from the beginning, check in, welcome drink and orientation. Everything is well organized and considerate. It was really lovely that hotel staff even prepared menu in Chinese for dinner! Kudos to authentic Japanese omotenashi! [facility and room] Our room or villa was renovated from a hundred year old traditional Japanese Kura, where you got to experience the traditional Japanese culture and also enjoy the modern and luxury side as a high end hotel! We had a very secluded hot spring in our backyard, which definitely was the highlight of our stay! Champaign and hot springs!! [food] I know many of the tourists are expecting traditional Japanese cuisine but our Italian fusion dining experience was just superb! It was a high end Italian full course but with Japanese fusion, such as the concept of “Shun” which means to use most seasonal ingredients and all of the vege and meat were harvested locally in nearby area. Hats off to the chef!! I would definitely come back for the food!!

Everything was incredible ! We drop the bagages and went for a small hike up behind Shuzenji Temple to see Mt Fuji. Then we had the a private session at the hotel main onsen, an delicious sukiyaki dinner and another bath (outside). The only regret was that we stayed only one night. The room and the hotel were beautiful, with a traditional japanese style (futon bed and sliding doors). The breakfast was super tasty and copious ! The hotel staff was also really nice, thanks again for the hospitality
