We had a wonderful stay at Ryokan Ichinomatso. The staff were very kind and professional, and made us feel so welcome. The food was delicious and deserving of a Michelin star! Our hostess was absolutely lovely and very warm and kind. She gave us some excellent recommendations for local activities. The onsen was very relaxing.

Hotel was perfect. Location, facilities, breakfast, value for money, but for me the biggest surprise was that they have natural resources of water in their onsen.

I love everything!! It was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious and it was a lot! And the room was really beautiful and cleaned! Futon were so comfy they appear a piece of cloud and the private onsen with the beach view! I enjoy every day of my stay!

I stayed in Emi Hakodateya before the marathon. Staff went above and beyond in supporting the runners: they allowed me to use the parking after check out and the onsen after the race.

Brilliant place with amazing staff. We will be back. Very disappointed we had to give up one night as our son got Covid so we had to stay on in Tokyo. Will make up for it next time.

Excellent location--Just 3 mins walk from the tram station and the 足湯. The staff is helpful and kind, able to speak English. Truly great onsen facility--one at the ground floor the other at the top. The bath area is very clean and the onsen area, especially the outdoor one on the first floor, offers very refreshing experience of switching between hot (two truly hot onsen pool and one with mild, warm temperature) and cold (the outdoor air and the cold water pool). I ordered both the dinner and the breakfast, and both are excellent. The Japanese style room is also great, spacious and full of grass fragrances from tatami. The pillow is also filled with such stuffing with fragrance--and actually you can choose the stuffing the hardness of the pillow if you want to. Regret that I got lazy and didn't use this service. Would like to try next time if there's chances.
