I think this stay was the best experience in my traveller’s life! From the moment I booked -requesting allergies and other details to the moment we left the hotel. I cannot express enough how attentive the stuff are! They noticed during the dinner our kid was left handed, and breakfast was served on the left side. The staff was amazingly attentive and provided exceptional service throughout our stay. The food was phenomenal and the amenities are wonderfully stocked. The kaiseki dinner was exquisite and I would say the chef and cooks at Furuya deserves the highest praise for the food was outstanding with a well thought out menu highlighting the season’s produce and local ingredients. Although most of the staff spoke little English, they tried their best to ensure that they understood our needs and helped make our stay comfortable and pleasant. The room was large, spacious and very comfortable even with the simple furnishings. The private rotenburo bath which source its water from the hot spring was the other highlight of our stay. I highly recommend staying here if you get the chance.

Talk about a vibey place, very comfortable and large rooms with great views from the outdoor baths. The ryokan itself has a charm to it that makes it fun to walk through in the late hours as well. The food was good but unfortunately my fiance had a stomach bug and couldn't partake as much in the meals, but they were very supportive and understanding of the situation.

The hotel has a foreign English speaking staff. He is very friendly and helpful. Especially he can clearly guide me to the carpark and how to use the shortcut to come back to the hotel. He also brief me the check-in details which is very clear. The hotel also has shuttle van to transfer hotel guest to the carpark. Although the hotel is not next to the beach, it only takes 5-10 minutes walk to the beach to watch fireworks. The hotel location is more near to the train station and the shopping street, which is very good. Many restaurants nearby. Breakfast is good. You can make your own sashimi rice bowl. Very delicious. The room is big with sea view.
