The room was extremely clean, check in was easy, staff interactions were pleasant, spacious room, the hot tub was extremely nice. I can only recommend. There was an issue overnight, nothing to do with the hotel, but it was addressed immediately. Someone was working on a motorcycle or car for over an hour starting at midnight. Being extremely loud and revving the engine. I called the front desk, they immediately went out and stopped the guy.

Particularly liked sitting out on the balcony in evening with glass of wine, cheese crackers and nuts. Location close to town for restaurants and shops.

Old City Market is 650 metres away and the College of Charleston is 150 metres from the inn. The Barksdale House Inn was beautiful, loved the heritage decor and styling. So glad this is where we chose to stay, it felt very unique and special. It was well located to walk to the Historic area and surrounding restaurants. The breakfast was made to order and they were able to cater to my gluten free requirements. Very welcoming and friendly staff.
