It takes 10 minutes to drive to Kanchanaburi city centre. Bangkok is 3 hours’ drive away. Everything! Staff was so cheerful and friendly. Room and the bathroom was super clean. There was an electric kettle, tea inside the room. We visited in May and fewer people so we had the swimming pool to ourselves. Can easily walk to nearby attractions and just 2.5km away from the train station. The breakfast Buffet + riverside restaurant was top notch! Super tasty and so many varieties. staff provided tips when visiting nearby attractions which helped us to save time and money! They even arranged a tuktuk to take us to the train station for a very reasonable price.

Located in a rural area, but not far from a main road, Yayee Homestay is run by a lovely family! We really enjoyed our 3 night stay there. It was a good base for visiting a number of places - Erawan National Park Tham Phra Phat Cave, Krasae Cave, Prasat Muang Singh Historical Park, Sai Yok National Park, Hellfire Pass Interpretive Centre, Sai Yok Noi Falls. Our room was spacious and clean - excellent value for money! We made good use of the balcony area. What made our stay so special was eating at the small family restaurant. What an amazing job the grandma(?) does - such a vast menu to choose from, but she knows exactly what she's doing! We had 3 dinners and 3 breakfasts there - all the meals were freshly made and were delicious (and also cheap). She is such a lovely, warm person. The young lady (niece?) was also very friendly - she could also speak some English, which was a great help.

P.Y. Guest House is 200 meres from JEATH War Museum. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi and free drinking water. The property features a 24-hour front desk, tour desk and Thai massage service. Laundry service is available. Best host, really nice and clean place. Stayed there my only night in Kanchanaburi and really recommend it!

Guests can also relax in the garden. We loved the beautiful colourful gardens and the accommodation was perfect for our family. Comfortable, clean and spacious. Best of all though we loved the hospitality from Yves and Daeng. Nothing was too much for them. We enjoyed all of the places Yves showed us including a tour of the local market on his motorbike and the amazing temples and caves in the jungle nearby. Thank you it was a wonderful experience.

The Felix was a great place to stay, enjoyed the room (although the view of the river was obscured), and the pool. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

I loved the location, the Mon people who were the staff, the experience, the family-like feeling of a small community run hotel. I loved that there was no signal, no electricity, that there was Wandee elephant coming each morning to have some of last night’s and morning fruits. The surroundings were stunning and such was the decor of the hotel, natural and blending in the surroundings. Pat was exceptional, his hospitality and English great and warmth and attentiveness fantastic. He brings magic!
