We loved sleeping in the wagons, the food was great, and the hotel managers were fantastic. Not only good kooks, but also entertainers and musicians in disguise. Their enthusiasm was heartwarming.

It was a quiet place. This is important to be able to relax and recharge after long travels. The room was big and comfortable. It was nice to see the armchair in the room, not only a chair at the desk.

Bäckaskog Slott is beautifully situated between the lakes Oppmannasjön and Ivösjön. A monastery was built here in the 13th century and was later converted in to a castle in the 17th century.
