The people make the difference. Sometimes you forget how good and kind people can be — and then someone like Richard (Richard and Isabel are the owners) comes along and reminds you. I arrived early at 08:00, before check-in time, after a long night train. I was tired, confused, and had many concerns about my ski plans (we dont ski in Israel, and it was my first time). Then I met Richard at the reception. He noticed my stress and calmly said, "Why don’t we start with breakfast? Allow me to take care of your belongings untill the room is ready." He truly wrapped me in care and kindness — and it meant the world to me. All my questions were answered by Isabel, who gave me great recommendations and guidance. Richard shared helpful ski tips, and I even received a lovely Easter gift — a small egg filled with chocolates. The place itself is very clean, breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the only downside is the distance to the ski area, which can be a bit challenging. To summarize — I 100% recommend this place. Situated on Prästgatan pedestrian street in central Östersund, Hotel Emma offers free WiFi and individually decorated rooms with TV and a private bathroom with shower. Breakfast was a very nice Swedish-style breakfast with everything you wanted and needed. The waffles with cloudberry jam was a big bonus!

Set in an 1883 theatre building, this hotel is within 200 metres of Östersund’s pedestrian street, Prästgatan, and the bus terminal. The theatre is a lively host for various events and music concerts.... Just loved the place. Built around an old theatre, still operating. The ambience was amazing and staff super helpful. Very central, easy to park the car and great breakfast. Will definitely return to enjoy a night at the theatre. Best place I have stayed in for a long time. May not be the modern look for some guests but it has heaps of personality, which I love.

The cabin was cute and served its purpose for my stay. The bathrooms were easy to access and everyone cleaned up after themselves.

Very cozy apartment, quiet and warm room. We really enjoyed relaxing there after long day of skiing. Breakfast was limited but delicious. We especially enjoyed the freshly baked bread!
