Centrally located on Victoriei Street in the heart of Bucharest, Grand Hotel Continental Bucuresti is steps away from the National Art Museum and close to the Athenaeum, Universitate‎ Metro Station, and business district. The Grand Hotel Continental is one of the nicest places we have stayed in for a long while, the large room was recently refurbished and the beds were very comfortable. Completely peaceful at night with great air conditioning, shower and bath, we had a very pleasant 4 night stay. Having become a bit jaded over the years we were delighted to discover that room service was particularly good and thoroughly enjoyed the dishes we tried. The staff are great, unfailingly cheerful and helpful, we would like to particularly thank Mirela the Front Office Manager who really went out of her way to help us get some things organised in a very efficient and charming manner. The hotel is perfectly located a few minutes from the heart of the old town and if you’re there at the weekend the street outside becomes a pedestrian boulevard on Saturday and Sunday where there are often musical happenings going on. We have now stayed in quite a few hotels in Bucharest but we have now found our home and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else in future.

The reception desk is permanently at the guests' disposal. You can ask for tips on the highlights of the city at the tour desk, and the property can also assist you in hiring a car. If you want a refuge from the urban bustle, you can relax in the elegant lounge, fitted with a glass roof that lets in plenty of natural light. Everything was excellent, but the breakfast could be improved and diversified more.
