We were welcomed with homemade port wine and really good recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The room was very clean and cleaned daily, The air conditioning was working very well and made our stay convenient on really hot days. We enjoyed breakfast and infinity pool, and a jacuzzi in the evening as well. Overall our stay was exceptional and we will definitely recommend this gem of Dou ro valley and will arrange another trip to come back!

It features a rooftop terrace, an outdoor pool, a restaurant and massage facilities. Daniel at the reception was very responsive to emails prior to our arrival. He would immediately respond and truly went above and beyond! The entire staff at the hotel was superb! We had an incredible experience and treated us like royalty. Highly recommend.

The staff were amicable and professional. We took the boat tour on the Douro, which was relaxing and scenic. We would definitely go back again to the Octant Douro.

Amazing place to go and relax with the lovely view and pool area. I 100% recommend this place. Won’t hesitate to come back !

Amazing room with all the facilities you can think about, super clean, and has a breathtaking view of the Douro River. The food is excellent, everything is simply delicious and fresh, farm-to-table. The wine is fabulous. We also did a great massage in the spa. The staff is amazing, helps with everything, lovely and kind. We are waiting for the next time!

The traditional portuguese cuisine here is tasty, the service is exceptional - Angela is the best, she’s magically appears everywhere you need her help! The rest of the team are very friendly and helpful!

Everything was beautiful! It’s a 800 year old building but in pristine and very chique furniture & design. It has recent expansion and it is top quality walls, bedroom & bathroom. The view from rooms, lounge, patio, pool, and dining room is pristine like a painting. The owner and those that work there are incredibly friendly, kind & accommodating. We felt like they were family’s The dinner, wine & desserts were top of the line. I highly recommend the place and if ever visiting Portugal, will stay again!
