Akaroa Criterion Motel is situated opposite Children’s Bay. It is a 16-minute walk from Mt Vernon Akaroa. Excellent location. Good parking. We were able to walk everywhere.

Just 300 metres from Arthur’s Pass train Station, it offers free on-site parking and free Wi-Fi access. Lovely little motel at the foot of the mountain, clean, spacious and well equipped. Staff very welcoming and lots of useful tips. Only 10 minutes walk to the village.

There is free on-site parking and free Wi-Fi. Great place to stay at Mount Cook with only a 5 minute drive to the trail head car parks. A bit pricey but worth it as it's for the location which is stunning. The Tasman lake walks , 10 minutes drive away are also fabulous.

The place was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Check in and out process quite straightforward, and they even gave us a late check out. Parking available but we didnt use it.
