Nestled amongst the natural and lush greenery of the rainforests near the border between Malaysia and Brunei, Mulu Marriott Resort is located on Melinau Paku River in Miri. The resort boasts a large fitness centre, pool and a sauna. It is 20 minutes from the Mulu Airport by car. Breakfast is excellent, with a variety of food that I would have never imagined for such a remote location Get your own sim card for the internet and you won't have problems. Otherwise, consider you're in the middle of nowhere and enjoy the peace and the nature rather than worrying about social media :) The whole staff is super, and the shuttle bus to the airport and to the national park is a bit advantage. There is a mini market close to the hotel, but, if you want to have something more to eat than peanuts and chips, go to a supermarket before getting to Mulu

The hotel’s Coffee House serves a delightful mix of local and Western cuisine, and the Sunset Terrace offers an unforgettable dining experience against a breathtaking backdrop. It was easily within distance of the airport. Rooms were large…toiletries and water were included.

Staff at the 24/7 reception can assist you with free luggage storage and a business centre is available on site. The staff where so friendly and the room super clean. I had a long stay in the hotel and i felt so welcome. It’s near to the airport and i like that it’s not directly in the centre. Everything that you need it’s near; grocery, restaurants, mall etc. It’s about 10’ with the car. The room service, dining and laundry service is top. I’ll come here again if I come to Kuching. (:

But the best is the rooftop bar to watch the sunset. Leves everything! It is an old building but everything is beautiful and clean.

There were two restaurants to choose from, and we dined at both; each offered very good food. Breakfast was particularly impressive, with an awe-inspiring range of options and consistently outstanding service in both venues. The pool was very good, and we thoroughly enjoyed swimming each day. A scenic walk down the gorge sits right beside the hotel, adding an unexpected highlight to the location. Overall, the hotel is very well situated—within easy reach of the port and only a reasonable taxi ride from the airport—making it both convenient and enjoyable as a base for exploring the area.
