Peaceful location to relax after safari. Close to the elephant transit home well worth a visit! Lovely clean pool, comfortable bed/rooms, hot shower! Recommend eating at the restaurant, tastiest food we tried in udawalawe and nice social set up to meet and chat to other travellers - we wished we could stay longer! Rasika was such a lovely host as well, staff very helpful and arranged onward transport and allowed us a slightly late checkout.

We had the pleasure of staying at Nature Lovers Family Resort – Udawalawe with our family, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, who made every effort to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The resort is nestled in a serene, nature-filled setting, just minutes from the Udawalawe Junction. Waking up to the sound of birds and being surrounded by greenery gave us a peaceful retreat from our busy lives. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed to blend comfort with rustic charm. Our family room had everything we needed and more. What stood out the most was the hospitality. The staff went above and beyond—from arranging a private safari tour with a knowledgeable guide to preparing delicious home-cooked meals using fresh local ingredients. They even took extra care to cater to our kids, making the whole experience family-friendly and stress-free. The resort also helped us book a safari into the national park, which was an absolute highlight. We spotted elephants, buffalo, and numerous bird species—all in their natural habitat. Whether you’re looking to explore wildlife or just relax in a natural, eco-friendly environment, Nature Lovers Family Resort is the perfect choice. We left with hearts full of gratitude and beautiful memories. Highly recommended for families, couples, and anyone who loves nature and genuine hospitality!

This was the most unique stay ever! The treehouse is amazing! Sitting on the balcony watching the birds was so relaxing. The staff are so friendly and helpful, arranging us our safari and onward taxi. The Sri Lankan curry and breakfast were the best we had!

Spread across 5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, Kalu’s Hideaway Udawalawe is a perfect spot for a relaxed family getaway. Spent one night at this place. Beautiful location close to Udawalawa national park and water reservoir. Clean and spacious pool with delicious food with lots of choices. Also staff at Kalu’s place is very helpful. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing stay.
