One of our favourite hotels in Japan. The room was spacious, had a spectacular view and a private hot tub on the balcony. The onsen was lovely (you could open the windows for fresh air). The location was fantastic but the star of the show was the food - amazing. The dinner was a multi-course treat with a superb menu in a private dining space. High quality fine dining experience. The staff were also exceptionally helpful.

Everything is beyond our expectation. Warm welcome drink upon checking in, japanese style breakfast experience, super caring & helpful staffs. They help me contact our previous hotel to find our forgotten wallet & without their help we couldn't get the wallet back for sure.

The accommodation facility of Gyokuzoin Temple features a hot public bath. The hotel is located in Mount Shigisan and houses a souvenir shop and drinks vending machines. Parking is available at extra charge. WiFi is available in all guest rooms. I liked absolutely everything. The room, the food, the premises, writing sutras, morning prayers and of course the spacious public bath. I'll definitely stay again when I can.

The spacious Japanese and Western rooms have free WiFi. Beautiful onsen. Excellent location. We were able to walk to all the important places in Nara. The restaurant staff and everybody else were very helpful.
