Kusatsu
Kusatsu Onsen Eidaya is located in Kusatsu. The property is a 10-minute walk from Kusatsu Yubatake and Kusatsu-Onsen Bus Terminal. Guests can find a private hot spring bath and Japanese restaurant on site. We stayed in one of the rooms with the private hot spring and it was so relaxing! Kusatsu
Hanaingen is an adult only accommodation situated in Kusatsu, just a 2-minute walk from Yubatake, or the hot water field in Kusatsu Onsen. Free private parking is available on site and free WiFi is available in all guest rooms. Everything about it was perfect. Close to bus station, close to the yubatake and all downtown stuff, excellent food, comfiest comforter I’ve ever experienced, super friendly staff, and 4 readily available 24 hour private baths. Loved every second here, especially the private baths (I tried out two of them!).
Kusatsu
Just a 3-minute walk from the famous Yubatake Hot Spring, Kane Midori offers massage services and its own hot-spring baths. The Japanese rooms have futon beds and a Western bathroom.
Tatami (woven-straw) floors and shoji paper screens complete the zen atmosphere in Kane Midori Ryokan’s air-conditioned rooms. All rooms come with a fridge and electric kettle, while the bathroom(some rooms) has a bathtub and amenities.
The inn has a lot of charm. The onsen was really cosy, not too crowded (in January), and beautiful. The staff was warm and welcoming, and this feeling applies to the inn itself. Thank you again for having us!
Ikaho Onsen, Shibukawa
Guests at the ryokan can enjoy an Asian breakfast. The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in.

Honestly just typical onsen rauken only no special facility attract or make me unexpected
Kusatsu
Built in 1913, the Kusatsu Hotel exhibits the architectural style of the Japanese Taisho Era. Guests at the hotel can unwind in the indoor or outdoor public hot spring bath, a Private Hot spring or the soothing footbath. Location, friendly helpful staff. Hot Onsen would definitely return.
Minakami
Rooms feature a serene Japanese interior with a tatami (woven-straw) floor, a TV and shoji sliding screens, which open to a relaxing seating area. Guests sleep in comfortable futon bedding, while amenities include yukata robes, a washstand and an attached toilet. Bathroom facilities are shared. Beautiful outdoor hot spring, and the mixed-gender lets you enjoy it with your significant other :) it really helps that the place picks you up and drops you off from/to nearby train stations, making it very accessible. Dinner and breakfast was mostly traditional with some modern elements, so it feels genuine but at the same time not too foreign.

It was very near the main attractions and everything was within waljing distance. The location is a ways out of Takaseki, but well worth the trip. It is in a peaceful valley and next door to their beautiful temple. Our host, the monk of the temple, was kind enough to guide us through the temple and even gave us an opportunity to meditate there. Very special. A truly beautiful experience and lovely place to stay.
Tasty and varied breakfast with lovely view outside; very friendly and helpful staff; large room with comfortable bed; outside of central town, yet easy to reach on foot (also train station). Kusatsu is a lovely town, a great place to get away from the summer heat. Wonderful onsen!
The whole setting and the hot spring is very beautiful and relaxing. It was a wonderful way to recover from a long journey and get over jet lag before embarking on our tour of Japan
Incredible scenery, the onsen is breathtaking. We were here during the summer, it must be even more incredible in winter times. The staff were also very friendly and caring. We stayed in a river side main building room, the calm and quiet with nature's sound was so relaxing
We spent a magical experience in Takaragawa onsen ryokan. My boyfriend even proposed to me in the rotenburo - he's now my fiancee. Thank you for this.
Nice and relaxed place. I really liked the Onsen and the superieur terrace room that was quiet, also thanks to the respectful Japanese guests. Very kind staff especially the young lady from Sri Lanka, but all of them did their best to make my stay as pleasant as possible and I stayed for 7 nights! Very good bed and bedding and an easy walk to the charming village of Shima Onsen with numerous restaurants and cafés.
My wife and I were a little suspicious about this "Love" hotel (adults only), but it offers nothing but luxury: King size bed, jacuzzi and private terrace. The complementary breakfast was delivered to our room. Very clean, spacious and quiet room. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!
We enjoyed the mixed-gender onsen, it was perfect for our honeymoon. The kaiseki-style breakfast and dinner was unique, fresh and delicious. The traditional style rooms were beautiful, comfortable and relaxing. We especially enjoyed the riverside view from our window.
Wonderful stay, just right to relax for a bit. Great traditional food, lovely rooms, amazing landscape. And the hot baths are great to relax. Personal is always there to help and very friendly.
