We loved this cottage, it was a little heavenly home (while a snow storm was happening outside) and we felt warm, cosy & safe. Well equipped, and of course beautiful surroundings. Set in a characteristic wooden house, Við Lónið Guesthouse is an accommodation in Seyðisfjörður. Rooms feature Scandinavian minimalist design, original wood furnishings and uninterrupted views of the fjord and town. Picturesque village, quiet and clean. The guesthouse was easy to find. It is totally renovated with good taste. It's balcony rooms overlook a lovely pond. Even though they don't serve breakfast, the room was equipped with an electric kettle, a coffee machine and a cooler. There were courtesy coffee capsules, tea bags and a chocolate bar.

Set in Mjóifjörður in the East Iceland region, Sólbrekka Holiday Homes has a terrace. Featuring sea and mountain views, this holiday home also features free WiFi. The property offers barbecue facilities and parking on-site. The cabin is dreamy. It’s a bit remote, but perfect for disconnecting. It has everything you need, though it’s a good idea to stop by a store before your visit. The jacuzzi and grill are a great addition. The view is incredible. We also went on a short hike to the Heljarfoss waterfall. Also we were lucky – we saw a small whale twice.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. From Laugarfell you have access to many hiking trails and you are close to the road leading to Askja. Laugarfell is accessible for all types of vehicles. I Laugarfell every year in September with friends and we love this place. The staff is always so friendly. Looking forward to next year visit.

Each holiday home has wooden interiors and a bathroom with a shower, hairdryer and free toiletries. A sauna, hot tub and yoga mats are also available. Fabulous cabin. So well stocked ( yoga mat for me, coffee machine for husband). Everything has been thought of to ensure your comfort. Host came to greet us personally ( a first for me and I’ve booked many places like this) and came to check everything was fine a couple days into our trip. Sauna and hot tub amazing. No where can be more highly recommended.
