Just 50 metres from the beach and 1 km from Rethymno Town, Archipelagos Hotel is set on a hillside with panoramic views over the Cretan Sea and the Venetian Castle. Facilities include an outdoor communal pool and private pools, a pool bar and free WiFi. This is an exceptional hotel within walking distance to the old town (10 minutes), beach front located, with a very nice swimming pool area. My room was on the 9th floor with a stunning view to the sea and to the Fortress and access to another small swimming pool located on the 8th floor. The position of the hotel is allowing you to see the sunrise as well as the sunset, which is really fantastic. The room was modern, spotless, with daily cleaning, the bed was comfy and the internet worked very well. The breakfast was also excellent with plenty of choices and a very good expresso. The staff was very friendly and professional and Mr. Stelios was always there to provide support, to make sure everybody is enjoying the stay and having a great experience not only in the premises of the hotel, but in Rethymno and in Crete. The host and the personnel are very helpful and friendly. Amazing beach near by. Great food at the restaurant and not expensive.

Breakfast was excellent, offering panoramic views of Chania from the dining area. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a non-alcoholic drink. The free hotel shuttle is very convenient (just coordinate the time with the host). The property also features a nice outdoor pool and a useful self-service laundry, free except for detergent capsules.
