Stunning part of the country. Thoroughly enjoyed our two day break.

Surrounded by woodland, there are a number of trails for dog walkers, horse riders and cyclists. It is just 3 minutes' drive from the village of Burley. The property was perfect, absolutely lovely location. There’s something magical about it. We loved our stay.

The hotel occupies a 15th-century Grade 1 listed building, with contemporary fixtures and fittings. The rooms offer a flat-screen TV, a work desk and a seating area. The private bathrooms include rainmaking showers and a handheld. The room, especially bed and lovely bath tub, were very appreciated, as were the luxury towels. I found the library so welcoming for a drink and some reading before dinner and breakfast. The bar, too, was a treat. Dinner was delicious (scallops, salad, gnocchi, wine). All delicious and it was nice to have some non-gluten and non-dairy options. The staff was very welcoming.
