We stayed in an apartment close to the water, we felt close to nature and a true sense of tranquility. The apartment sticks to the traditional wooden design with traditional Finnish textiles on the walls, floors, and table - resulting in a space that feels cosy and warm, no matter the weather outside :) We felt true hospitality from Pasi and Anneli. We will be back in the summer without a doubt.

Flat-screen TVs, electric kettles, bathrobes and slippers are standard at Break Sokos Hotel Koli. Each room has a bathroom with a shower and hairdryer. I chose to stay at this hotel mainly for easy access to Ukko-Koli on the summer solstice, so I could enjoy the sunrise and sunset. The staff at the reception were very helpful and genuinely nice to me. Breakfast tasted even better with the view of Lake Pielinen. The sauna has fixed hours, so it’s a good idea to check the schedule in advance. (I didn’t have time to go, though—too bad! 😅)
