Pazo da Pena Manzaneda is located in Manzaneda, in the Ribeira Sacra wine region. This large 16th-century stately house has been carefully restored keeping the original features and has a spacious lounge with wooden floors, sofas, fireplace and a large garden with a indoor pool. The building (Pazo) is unique. Very well preserved keeping the atmosphere but yet very confortable. Common areas were as they would have been 100 years ago. I loved the visit were Pazo staff explained us the history of the building and former owners. The breakfast was very good A buffet with lots of local products. I loved the bica and the local meat products. Prior to arrival Pazo da Pena sent us an email detailing the local atractions and places to have lunch and dinner. Pazo Staff was very helpfull. Everything was design to make the experience even more enjoyable.

Guests at the country house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Lodoso, like hiking. An indoor play area is also available at Casa Roan y Casa Grande, while guests can also relax in the garden. They are pet-friendly, which is great, my two border collies enjoyed the place very much.

The house itself is stunning and there is love in every detail of decoration. So much that I'm taking a lot of inspiration for myself from this place. All the staff is warm-hearted, superfriendly and very considerate. For example, of which I could name many more: We said that we do not like sweet food in the morning too much and were surprised with a rich, salty breakfast the next day. (And as I've read some other comments: No, the breakfast is not overpriced - nor is anything else!) And then comes the food, which shouldn't be last-named but there is no way to rank food, staff and house as it is all excellent. So: The food was a treat we were looking forward to each day. Outstanding, haute cuisine-like, for a very fair price. We spent 18 days in Northern Spain and never before or after were we served such delicious food. All in all, I recommend Rectoral Anllo for 100÷.Thank you, Nacho and your team, for your great hospitality! We are hoping to come back!

Lovely cozy country house feel. The staff were so friendly, attentive and patient with our kids. The spacious grounds and beautiful views provided a relaxing atmosphere. We loved having breakfast and dinner on the terrace, the staff prepare many dishes (empanadas and bizcocho for example) in a wood-fired oven! Lastly, everyday Berni the owner gave us great tips on exploring the region and getting the best out of La Ribeira Sacra.
