Portal de l'Angel is 200 metres away. I chose Hotel Catalonia Magdalenes after reading great reviews on TripAdvisor and seeing its high rating of 9 on Booking.com. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome—especially Bruno, who greeted my family and me with genuine warmth. We also had the pleasure of meeting Alfredo, who was very helpful in guiding us around the city and even recommended a lovely local bakery. Adam and Paula were always cheerful and greeted us with a smile every time we passed by, which added a nice personal touch to our stay. The hotel’s location is perfect—central and convenient—and the cleanliness throughout the property was excellent. However, the rooms were a bit on a small in size. Overall, it was a lovely stay with outstanding service. We’d definitely consider coming back!

We had a really delightful stay, and the staff was great with accommodating our daily and unique circumstances that meant extra work for them.

The room was spacious, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the balcony was large enough to enjoy comfortably. The bathroom was big, and the bed was very comfortable. For our second trip to Barcelona, we will stay here for sure!
