We spent one night at the hotel. We arrived late, the owner made every effort to leave the key, as the reception is open until 5 pm. But that's where the positives end. The breakfast was not bad

Hotel Strandhaus offers elegant, spacious rooms and suites with luxury beds, a flat-screen TV, minibar and oak parquet floors. The staff was very friendly and our stay was just wonderful right from the first moment to the last. The room was beautiful and the spa facilities were lovely. Dinner and breakfast in the hotel was also very good quality.

The hosts were really nice and always smiling and friendly. Would highly recommend this hotel for its location (we arrived from Berlin via train and bus and it was easy to find). If you’re riding or kayaking it’s andideal location in the Spreewald. We hired bikes and kayaks arranged by the hotel staff but also easily arranged locally.

The hotel offers a sun deck and sunbathing area where you can relax and take it easy on nice summer days. Alternatively the hotel hires out bicycles as well as rowing boats and canoes/kayaks, which you can conveniently dock at the hotel. Good location to come down in every single way. They did offer some nice events and trips in the area to get in touch with the surroundings and regional culture even tough it was winter season. Pretty nice food in the in-house restaurant Eisvogel, my recommendation.
