The Hotel Föhrenhof is situated in a peaceful area on the edge of a forest in Farchant, just 3 km from the Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The sun terrace and garden offer a beautiful view of the Zugspitz and Wetterstein mountains. Fantastic place. The owner is so warm while we checked in. Will definitely recommend this place

A rich and varied breakfast buffet is available each morning. The terrace is open during the summer. Guests can relax in the hotel lobby featuring a bar. This was my second stay at this hotel. The first stay was in October 2024. As usual, the staff was stellar. Every request and inquiry was acted upon with a cheerful smile and prompt efficiency. They delivered 100% especially when I needed it the most. The hotel is situated across the street from the Bad Reichenhall Bahnhof (train station). No worries since the hotel has excellent soundproofing. The public areas along with the room itself were immaculate. The bathroom had all the expected amenities including hair dryer, soaps and a towel warmer. The A/C runs well and can be adjusted. There is an Aldi supermarket and a store specializing in health products and cosmetics nearby. An Italian pizza restaurant is across the street (order the spinach and salmon pizza), and a Bavarian restaurant is a few blocks away. The Avalon is a family-owned and run business so you get that special attention you can’t get at a chain hotel. I highly recommend this property.

Guests can also enjoy a hot tub as well as a modern spa area with a salt sauna, a Finnish sauna, a bio sauna, steam baths, an infrared cabin and several relaxation areas. The garden includes a sunbathing lawn. The staff members were incredibly kind, and the restaurant served high-quality meals for all their menu items. The SPA experience was truly amazing, and the kids enjoyed every second of it.

Housed in a building dating from 1930, this bed and breakfast is 23 km from Kapuzinerberg & Capuchin Monastery and 23 km from Mozart's Birthplace. Mozarteum is 23 km from the bed and breakfast and Festival Hall Salzburg is 23 km away. Anneliese was such a darling! I would like to thank her for making our holiday so special. I have not a single complaint. All was great! Location breakfast a large room and a comfy bed. The shared bathroom was not a problem at all!

The guest house has family rooms. It was exceptionally clean. The rooms were very comfortable. It was situated in a beautiful spot on the lake and close to everything. We would highly recommend it.

Anton was so friendly, accommodating, and informative- he made our visit to the Krampus festival just perfect! It’s a beautiful property with spectacular views and fresh mountain air. It’s a bit of a walk with a hill to town, but perfectly comfortable for us- a bit older, a bit in shape. The room was sweet and the bed comfortable. It had a private deck and towel heater, thoughtful touches with a cosmetic bag holding bathroom necessities. Breakfast was wonderful! Some of the best bread I’ve eaten in Europe- and that’s saying something! Though a smaller guesthouse, Anton includes more options for meat, cheese, etc. than many bigger places we’ve stayed at including some wonderful caponata-type mix of roasted veggies with cheese (I loved that) and polenta pudding (new for me, and I intend to make it at home)! My husband noted that the juices were varied and flavorful- these are often watered down. We will definitely come back here if we are in the area again!
