The owner, Sonia, is an absolute gem—she welcomes you like you’re part of her family, which makes the whole experience feel incredibly homely. On the evening we arrived, Sonia hosted a little cheese and wine gathering for all the guests, and we spent the evening chatting in her sitting room, feeling utterly at home. She even gave us a brand new bedroom—it was the first time anyone had stayed in it—and it was absolutely lovely. The finca itself is a charming, traditional Colombian farmhouse, family-run, and full of character. Sonia makes her own cheese and butter, and breakfast is a homemade feast with fresh ingredients straight from the farm. You’ll find hens, goats, horses, parrots, and even a cow on the finca, all adding to that warm, rustic atmosphere. It’s a perfect place if you’re looking for a genuine, down-to-earth, and utterly charming Colombian experience. We couldn’t have felt more looked after or more at home, and I can’t recommend it enough if you want a cosy, farm-style stay with a truly personal touch.
