First of all, we drove by car from Sydney and the place was easy to find, there was more than enough parking place for us, we've been greeted by the host and one of his adorable cat, but also saw all their animals, goats, horses and cows. Upon arrivals, we were shown all the property and the facilities, the breakfast area, the chilling lounge where you can make hot chocolate or coffee and our room. Our room was spacious, had a magnificent view, a heater, some chairs and a small table. The bed was extremely comfortable, it felt like sleeping on clouds. Now, the breakfast. WOW. I was at awe seeing how cozy and comfy the breakfast room was with the fire in its center, and how delicious the home-made breakfast (using their own product and milk) was. On top of having a fantastic and relaxing stay, we had some lovely chat with the host and followed his advices by going to some very nice walks near the property. During one of the walk, we saw wallabies, had a fantastic view on top of a hill and saw some unexpected gigantic rocs. We wished we had stayed longer there and will definitely be back. We created so many nice memories at this place and felt extremely welcome. Leaving was hard, but we felt rested and very happy. Honestly, we both truly felt like Home and are very grateful for the kindness and genuine care of our host.

Housed in a historic building, the recently renovated Illalangi Boutique Cottage provides accommodation with a garden and free WiFi. Guests can benefit from a balcony and an outdoor fireplace. The property is non-smoking and is located 14 km from Katoomba Scenic World. What a wonderful house, we loved our stay. Only sorry it was for such a short time as we attended a wedding at Mount Wilson.

Valley of the Waters B&B in Wentworth Falls provides adults-only accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a shared lounge. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. Guests can enjoy mountain views. Excellent breakfast, got to choose from cooked or continental. Wife chose continental, I chose cooked, enough food to feed a small army showed up. Loads of fruit, juice, great sourdough, eggs, sausages, you name it. Also, the loft room has a stunning view over the valley and a jacuzzi, along with a spare room for all your gear while you stay. Even though we showed up late, the host was gracious and welcoming. Ample parking on site as well.

The hotel has beautifully appointed rooms on three levels, which are accessible via staircases however if you prefer a ground floor level, be sure to make your preference known when booking as there are no lifts available given the hotel is a heritage building. What a wonderful surprise the Palais Royale turned out to be. Elegant and timeless with character and a welcoming vibe. We would stay here again if we return.

High Mountains Inn Blackheath is a short 10-minute stroll to Blackheath village, where there are many restaurants and cafes. The Three Sisters at Echo Point is 10 minutes’ drive away. Very friendly and helpful service. The room was clean and comfortable, and good parking right outside.

200 meters from Katoomba Train Station, The Carrington offers elegant accommodation in a heritage-listed refurbished manor. It features fine dining and casual dining options, multiple bars and a performance space. Fabulous location, hotel full of character. Great and helpful staff . Room was clean and tidy, comfortable bed. Easy onsight and secure parking ina garage. We would stay again.
